Make Mom Proud

As April 22, (Earth Day) has come and gone, and as we get ready to celebrate Mother’s Day, Gardenscapes Nursery in Oberlin, would like to remind everyone to find time to do something that beautifies, conserves, preserves, saves, prolongs and/or sustains Mother Earth. 

Perpetuate the planet.

Do not think about it or have good intentions, just do it.

Capture and reuse storm water runoff with Rain Barrels, Rain Gardens, Bio Retention Basins, Bio Swales, or use Permeable Pavers.  Better yet, plant a Tree. Plant a native plant like Lobelia, Monarda, Asclepias, and/or Aronia to attract Hummingbirds, Bees, Butterflies and Birds.  Plant an extra Row of Vegetables and donate them to your local soup kitchen or food bank.  Try growing climbing spinach from seed and actually eat what you have sown. 

We sell edible cranberry and strawberry plants, blueberry, blackberry raspberry, elderberry bushes along with apple, cherry, peach and plum trees.  How about beautifying your landscape with American flag or our Old Glory Ceramic Pots?  They make great gifts or just are a great way to display your patriotism.  Grow sunflowers from seed to provide endless smiles when their fresh cut faces perk up your home or someone else’s or leave them on the stem to provide food for the birds.   Mom will be proud of you.
